Operations on an exported view

An exported view file is stored under the View node. A view can have multiple exported views:

Add

Open a data extraction file, select an exported view on View window and click add button:

Here’s the pop-up for setting the view output:

Name - Name of an exported view.

 

Export type – The way of outputtingcertain data from a view. [Append] adds data in a view to an existing file; [Overwrite] deletes data in an existing file and writes data in a view to it.

 

Output to – Which type of file to which you want to output the result view. There are multiple choices – CTX (a composite table file), BTX (a bin file), TXT (a text file), CSV, XLSX (an Excel file), and a database table.

 

File name – When you want to output a result view to a CTX file, a CSV file, an XLSX file or a BTX file, click  to select the path of the would-be output file and edit its name.

 

Import column headers: Check it to import the first line (row) in the file as column headings when you output the file to a TXT file, a CSV file or an XLSX file.

 

Data source – The data source that contains the database table to which you want to output the result view.

 

Table – The database table to which you want to output the result view.

Click [OK] and Selected fields and alias and Computed columns will appear:

Now you can select all or part of the fields and set aliases for them, or double-click a reference name to add an expression under the Computed columns.

Preview view

Open a data extraction file, select an exported view and click Preview view to view data in it:

Edit

Open a data extraction file, select an exported view, and click the edit button or double-click the exported view:

To open the ViewExport settings box:

You can configure how to output a view on the above box. Then click [OK] to complete the configuration.

 

You can modify the selected fields and their aliases or edit the computed columns on the right.

Delete

Open a data extraction file, select an exported view and click the delete button:

 

 

And the following box appears:

Click [Yes] to delete the exported view and click [No], or the cross sign at the upper right corner, to reject the deletion.

Shift up

Open a data extraction file, select an exported view and click the shift-up button  to move it up. The view Export2 is selected below:

 

 

Shift down

Open a data extraction file, select an exported view and click the shift-up button  to move it down. Export1 is selected below:
