This chapter explains how to manage data sources, including add, edit, delete, shift up and shift down.
Data source is a two-dimensional view feeding data to a data extraction file. The data source can be retrieved through a SQL query provided by databases, or it originates from a data file of other structures. No matter where a data source comes from, the data file tool computing engine will always perform an export directly based on the source file.
Open a data extraction file and click in the Datasource window to pop up the following Datasource type dialog box to add a data source:
There are four types of data source: text file, Excel file, database table, and SQL query.
